Life along the Chesapeake Bay offers many sources of inspiration for an artist to draw from. Beautiful views and captivating water. Bountiful life of the sea, sands and air. The beauty and awe of a powerful thunderstorm. Or the serene tranquility of a cool ocean breeze. It is from these rhythms of nature that I find my muse and desire to share this inspiration through harmonious pieces of handcrafted jewelry.

I treasure unique items and materials, such as sea glass found while walking along the shoreline. I believe each piece has a story to tell and I try to let the natural characteristics show through in organic and textural pieces.

About Us

Having always appreciated interesting pieces of jewelry, I decided to sign up for a class and try my hand at some of my own designs. I was hooked immediately. Taking an object or raw material and developing something new and beautiful with it fascinates me. Soon after I was making jewelry for friends and it was then that I decided to open my own shop.

I love to create pieces with a contemporary feel that are organic and textural, understated yet chic, inspired by nature and handcrafted from socially and environmentally responsible materials. I believe that an inspirational and harmonious piece of jewelry that you love can be worn everyday for every occasion - whether it is jeans and a tee or a cocktail dress.

  • Our Sterling Silver & Gold is 100% recycled from an Earth-Minded refiner in the USA, providing socially and environmentally responsible products and services.
  • All Sea Glass pieces use genuine Sea Glass that I have found while walking the shoreline.
  • Our business cards, literature and gift boxes are made from 100% recycled materials.
  • If you see something you like but prefer a different color, contact me and I can design a custom piece for you.
  • All items can be gift wrapped with a handwritten card and shipped directly to the recipient.
  • Please let me know if you need an item quickly and I can make special arrangements.

Shipping

Please allow 7-10 days for orders to arrive. All items are shipped USPS Priority Mail. If you require expedited delivery, please email me for other arrangements.

Payment

I accept credit cards via secure checkout through PayPal. You do not have to be a PayPal member to remit payment.

I also accept money orders and checks. Please remit payment after the order is placed. If paying by money order or check, please notify me by email. After three days any unpaid orders are subject to cancellation. Once payment has been received and cleared, I will mail the item immediately. Please contact me with any questions.

Sales Tax

Maryland state residents will be charged 6% state sales tax.

Refunds & Exchanges

Please read all descriptions before purchasing. Due to the customized nature of our items, all sales are final. I cannot accept returns for exchange, credit or refund.

Repairs

In the unlikely event that a piece of jewelry you purchased from us needs repair, I will repair within the first 30 days of purchase. Please email us with any questions you may have. Additional charges may apply and will be discussed before you send the item back to us.

Do you do custom work?

Yes, I would love to help you create the perfect piece. If you have an idea, color or design in mind please email me and I will work with you. You can send me a message here or at: menzdesigns@hotmail.com.

Do you gift wrap?

I can certainly wrap your item for the perfect occasion and will ship it as a gift. For this option, please email me and we will discuss.

How is your jewelry made?

Each piece is made entirely by hand by me in my home studio, using varying methods, gemstones, metals and sea glass.

Is each piece original?

Each piece of jewelry designed and made will vary slightly due to the gemstones, silver making process and nature adding to the charm of your jewelry.This is in no way considered to be flaws, but adds to the uniqueness of each piece.

How to take care of the jewelry?

As with any piece of handcrafted jewelry, please polish with a soft cloth. Do not wear your jewelry when you swim, shower or bathe. Do not immerse pearls or gemstones in any liquid.

What is a Trunk Show?

If you would like to host a party, please contact me. This is a great way to have an open house or get together. This is not a book show, no speech or hard sells. This allows you and your friends to share in the fun of trying on handmade local jewelry that can be purchased and taken home that day. Unlike other home parties, there are no books or order forms. See what you like, try it on, take it home, this means instant gratification. All pieces are one of a kind - cash and carry . The host will receive special discounts and a gift. The host provides the beverages and food, I will provide the displays, gift boxes and mirrors.
